
AWS is seeking a Modernization GTM Strategy Leader to drive go-to-market strategy, partner ecosystem development, and revenue growth for AWS modernization and agentic transformation worldwide. This Technical Business Development role combines deep modernization domain expertise with strategic business acumen to accelerate customer adoption of AWS modernization solutions. The ideal candidate will architect comprehensive GTM strategies, build strategic partnerships, enable sales teams, and drive market leadership across the modernization landscape.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and customer success, translating modernization-to-intelligence lifecycle capabilities into compelling business value propositions that resonate with C‑suite executives and drive measurable business outcomes.
Key job responsibilities
Define and execute worldwide go-to-market strategy for AWS modernization and agentic transformation services, including value propositions, messaging frameworks, positioning strategies, and adoption programs
Establish GTM metrics, KPIs, and success criteria to measure program effectiveness and business impact across all modernization initiatives
Engage C‑level executives (CIOs, CTOs, CDOs) at strategic accounts through briefings, workshops, and immersion days to articulate modernization business value
Develop business case frameworks, ROI models, and financial analyses that quantify modernization benefits including cost savings, agility, and innovation velocity
Design and deliver comprehensive sales enablement programs for account teams, solution architects, and partner sales organizations
Establish modernization opportunity qualification criteria, pipeline development strategies, and conduct field training to build sales competency
Establish AWS thought leadership through speaking engagements, whitepapers, analyst briefings, industry events, and cultivating analyst relationships (Gartner, Forrester, IDC)
Capture and disseminate customer success stories, case studies, and contribute to AWS blog posts and technical documentation
Partner with AWS service teams to influence product roadmaps and collaborate with marketing on integrated campaigns and demand generation programs
Work with Training & Certification to develop modernization learning paths and align with Professional Services for seamless customer experience
Engage with AWS Executive Leadership to report on GTM performance, co‑author operating plan, and drive cross‑organizational initiatives across multiple business units

Mentorship and Career Growth
6+ years of technology‑related sales, marketing or business development experience
5+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including, but not limited to, Mainframe, Serverless, Containers, or Cloud Operations experience
Experience developing and executing on GTM strategies that are large in scope
Experience in building profitable partner ecosystems
Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits), or experience communicating results to senior leadership
Bachelor’s degree; AWS Solutions Architect Certification
Experience coordinating and leading large‑scale Digital or Global IT Transformation initiatives
Experience as an IT industry thought leader on relevant topics related to enterprise IT infrastructure
Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience with threat modeling and penetration testing
Experience in technology related sales, business development or equivalent
Experience in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps
Experience in hands‑on infrastructure, troubleshooting, systems administration, networking, DevOps or applications development
