
Job Description
Pay Range: $45hr - $50hr
The Trade – Contractor will be responsible for conducting Export Controlled Information reviews and jurisdiction classification duties across the Communications Systems segment.
This role ensures compliance with export regulations including ITAR, EAR, and Customs requirements while supporting licensing, classification, and trade compliance initiatives.
Requirement / Must Have (Hard Skills)
Conduct ITAR and EAR export jurisdiction and classification reviews of hardware, software, and technical data.
Provide export classifications to support licensing and agreement applications.
Conduct customs classifications including HTS and Schedule B.
Determine and document export and customs classifications.
Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, and Customs regulations.
Provide compliance guidance to internal and external customers.
Strong working knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations applied in daily activities.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.
Must-Have (Soft Skills)
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent reprioritization skills and flexibility.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Nice-to-Have (Hard Skills)
Review and approval of technical data transfers to international third parties.
Review and approval of information placed in the public domain.
Experience identifying and recommending process improvements.
Experience supporting Trade Compliance audits.
Experience developing and delivering trade compliance training.
Responsibilities
Conduct export jurisdiction and classification reviews under ITAR and EAR.
Support licensing and agreement applications with proper classifications.
Perform HTS and Schedule B classifications.
Review and approve technical data transfers internationally as applicable.
Participate in trade compliance audits and annual SME training.
Identify process improvements to enhance compliance operations.
Report to the Manager, Technical Trade Compliance.
Ensure timely completion of compliance activities while managing competing deadlines.
Qualification And Education
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or.
Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of related experience, or.
Graduate Degree with 1–2 years of related experience, or.
8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
Experience
Practical experience applying ITAR and EAR regulations in export classification and compliance activities.
Experience supporting export licensing and customs classification processes.
