
This role supports a leading global energy trading business with a focus on low‑carbon, natural gas, LNG, and power. The position operates in a fast‑moving environment shaped by market volatility, evolving policies, and shifts in the broader energy landscape. The analyst will deliver deep market insights, develop forecasting tools, and provide strategic support to trading teams.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain analytical models related to U.S. natural gas pricing, supply‑demand fundamentals, storage, weather, and market structure
Monitor market developments, including infrastructure changes, regulatory updates, and regional balances
Partner with IT and data science teams to enhance analytical tools, automate data workflows, and identify new data sources
Build and maintain quantitative and qualitative forecasting models and serve as the primary point of contact for U.S. gas fundamentals
Track regional pipeline flows and maintain balance forecasts for key market hubs
Analyze trading‑desk strategies and positions to form market views and provide trading recommendations
Produce written reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external market participants
Support headquarters teams on strategy, business development, and market‑related projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or a related field
Strong modeling and analytical capabilities with high attention to detail
2+ years of experience in Natural Gas Markets
Knowledge of U.S. natural gas markets, infrastructure, flows, and production economics
Experience in a trading environment is preferred
Proficiency in SQL, R, or Python; familiarity with data‑visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
