Responsibilities
The HIV Area Business Manager (ABM) is a member of the US Endocrinology Therapeutic Area with oversight of the marketed brand Serostim® for HIV patients with wasting or cachexia.
Manage sales at the territory level to deliver on aggressive but realistic targets for revenue growth and profitability through brand objectives with innovative strategies, customer engagement, and rigorous account planning.
Collaborate with Marketing, MA&PS, and Medical to manage sales at the territory level and serve as the primary liaison between customers and EMD Serono.
Build customer alliances, establish and maintain product leadership, and achieve short- and long-term sales objectives by identifying customer needs and providing solutions.
Maintain focus on the New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia territory; best if located in South/Central New Jersey.
Territory The New Jersey, Philadelphia territory includes New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia area. Best if located South/central New Jersey.
Who You Are Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry with demonstrated results
A valid and active driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in HIV, Endocrinology, and/or Specialty Biologics markets
Scientific or clinical background desirable
Advanced degree desirable
Knowledge of managed care and reimbursement systems including prior authorization with pull through highly desirable
Deep understanding of the landscape and marketplace is highly desired
Compassion for patients living with HIV/AIDS
Strong sales, time management and administrative skills
Intermediate level computer skills (MS Office products)
Track record of driving and maintaining strong results
Strong analytical skills to understand and adjust to trends and market dynamics
Ability to plan and execute efficiently (expense reporting, sales analytics reports, project work)
Achieve territory and area sales goals consistent with Company and TA guidelines
Develop and execute territory and area key account plans for continued growth
Translate medical information and complex disease states into clear messages
Present to all levels of the organization and respond clearly to questions
Base Pay and Benefits Base Pay Range for this position - $147,300 – $220,900. The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation. Actual compensation will be determined by location, experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
