
Purchasing Specialist Residential Home Building Future Opportunity

Job Description

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will support our business by managing vendor relationships, preparing contracts, ensuring compliance, and providing training that supports our day-to-day purchasing operations. In this role, Purchasing Specialists serve as a trusted resource for both our Preferred Partners and internal teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Onboard new Preferred Partners by preparing contracts and guiding them through each step
Train partners on our processes and tools, including the Weekley Partner Hub
Keep contract documents organized, updated, and routed to the right teams
Collect required waiver/lien releases
Research and resolve variance issues with accuracy and urgency
Assist partners with payment questions and job reassignments
Create extra orders, back-charges, and returns as needed
Place and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery
Provide information to support rebate submissions for our National Strategic Sourcing Team
Prepare weekly and monthly reports
Track starts, communicate updates, and help manage changes throughout the process
Qualifications:
Prior experience in purchasing, construction operations, vendor coordination, or a related administrative role is preferred
Proven organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy and follow-through
Professional communication skills with experience collaborating across teams
Additional Information Pay range:
$50,000-$70,000 based upon experience and skills
