Overview The Paid Social & Search Strategist is responsible for developing and executing strategic digital advertising campaigns across Social and Google platforms to support client objectives and business goals. This hybrid role merges expertise in paid social media (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.) with Google Ads management (including Search, YouTube, Demand Gen, and Performance Max campaigns). The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience across both ecosystems and demonstrates strength in analytical thinking, creative optimization, and cross-channel strategy integration.

Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Recommendations

Gather background from planners and clients to inform integrated cross-channel recommendations.

Develop strategic media plans spanning social and Google ad ecosystems that align with campaign goals.

Define clear KPIs tied to brand and performance objectives.

Drive audience, creative, and messaging alignment between social and Google Ads.

Stay current on paid media trends, AI innovations, and platform algorithm updates.

Campaign Execution & Optimization

Manage campaign setup, pacing, and optimization across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Google Search, YouTube, PMax, and Demand Gen.

Perform keyword research, audience segmentation, and creative testing to optimize reach and performance.

Ensure accurate campaign launches, ongoing QA, and adherence to best practices across all platforms.

Balance and optimize budget allocation between social and Google channels for holistic performance.

Reporting & Insights

Deliver actionable cross-platform insights and performance narratives for clients.

Monitor and interpret channel performance through reporting tools such as Google Ads, platform ad managers, and/or 3rd party data platforms like DOMO (a plus).

Identify growth opportunities, formulate test-and-learn plans, and improve ROI across campaigns.

Present performance summaries with clear recommendations for future strategy.

Communication & Collaboration

Collaborate with planning, analytics, and creative teams to align paid media with broader campaign strategies.

Serve as a knowledgeable resource for both social and search paid media practices.

Present strategies and performance updates to clients confidently and clearly.

Communicate new opportunities tied to emerging ad products or cross-channel synergies.

Leadership & Training

Mentor team members on cross-platform optimization and campaign execution.

Support internal process improvements and contribute to internal education on evolving media tools.

Display problem-solving leadership while promoting best practices and efficiency.

Emerging Media & AI Integration

Use AI and automation tools for campaign planning, persona expansion, and creative ideation.

Implement AI-driven optimizations across both social and Google platforms.

Stay informed on automation, bidding strategies, and creative testing capabilities in Meta Advantage+ and Google PMax.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of paid media experience in an agency or related environment.

Proven hands-on experience managing paid social campaigns in major social platforms and Google Ads (Search, YouTube, Performance Max, Demand Gen).

Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.

Familiarity with AI-assisted media planning and creative testing tools a plus.

Preferred candidates are located in the Dallas, TX area; remote applicants will be considered.

Occasional travel (up to 15%) may be required for internal or client meetings.
