Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end controls strategy
for gig-worker earnings and tax operations, ensuring a robust control environment across operational processes, financial reporting, compliance, and technology systems.
Design, implement, and maintain IT General Controls (ITGCs)
over systems supporting earnings disbursements, tax calculations, onboarding, identity verification, and reporting, partnering closely with engineering and product teams.
Oversee SOX/financial control frameworks , including risk assessment, control mapping, documentation, testing, remediation, and ongoing monitoring to ensure readiness for audits and regulatory examinations.
Develop and manage compliance and regulatory controls
related to worker classification, earnings regulations, tax withholding/reporting, and data governance, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and international requirements.
Drive continuous improvement and control optimization , conducting root-cause analysis of control failures, implementing automation where possible, and serving as the primary liaison with internal audit, external audit, risk management, and cross‑functional leadership.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 5 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications Working on cross-functional teams or projects. Master’s: Business Administration. Project Management Professional - Certification.
