DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & OPERATIONS Aragon Global Management | Miami, FL (Coconut Grove) | On-Site ABOUT ARAGON GLOBAL MANAGEMENT Aragon Global Management is an SEC-registered investment firm and family office headquartered in Coconut Grove, Miami, managing long/short strategies with a focus on international technology and consumer sectors. The firm operates a multi-entity structure encompassing an investment advisor, family office operations, and Aragon Forward, a 501(c)(3) education foundation. We are at a strategic inflection point, investing in operational infrastructure to support growth in investment operations, family office and foundation launch. THE ROLE We seek a Director of Finance & Operations to serve as de facto COO, owning all operational and administrative functions across our SEC-registered investment firm, family office, and foundation. This is a senior strategic role reporting directly to the CEO with full operational autonomy. The role encompasses building scalable operational infrastructure, managing critical vendor relationships (Finance, IT, prime broker, middle office, fund administrator, compliance), and architecting an AI-enabled operations platform. This is not task executionyou will own strategy, vendor management, and operational decision-making with minimal oversight. ONGOING RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Operations (30%) Operational strategy and execution for SEC-registered RIA + family office + 501(c)(3) foundation Build scalable infrastructure supporting Aragon Forward launch (Q3-Q4 2026) Full employee lifecycle management: recruiting, onboarding, performance management, offboarding Cross-functional coordination: investments, finance, property operations, foundation Finance Operations Coordination (30%) Oversee financial reporting and control functions through outsourced CFO partnership Bill processing workflow, expense management, contract tracking Budgeting, variance reporting, cash management coordination Multi-entity finance coordination (investment firm, family office, foundation) Dashboard oversight and multi-source data integration Vendor & IT Management (20%) Manage IT service provider: SLAs, proactive monitoring, multi-location standardization Own all operational vendor relationships: prime broker, trading desk, middle office, fund administrator, compliance consultants, professional services Vendor selection, contract negotiation, performance management Replace underperforming vendors as needed Office & Facilities (10%) Own Coconut Grove office operations Coordinate with Property Operations Manager on facilities matters Manage office equipment, supplies, vendor relationships Governance & Compliance (10%) Employee onboarding/offboarding processes and systems Policy documentation and compliance tracking Operational risk managementREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Must Have: 5-10 years operations experience in family office, RIA, hedge fund, private equity, or wealth management environment AI-fluent: Daily ChatGPT or Claude user with demonstrated ability to implement AI-driven operational improvements (not just theoretical knowledge) Proven track record building operations infrastructure from ground up or through major organizational transitions Strong vendor management experience, particularly with IT, fund administrators, prime brokers, and middle office providersdemonstrated ability to set SLAs and hold vendors accountable Experience with investment firm operational infrastructure: NAV calculation oversight, investor reporting coordination, regulatory filing support Thrives in entrepreneurial environments with high autonomynot corporate bureaucracy Completely independent operator requiring minimal oversight Strongly Preferred: SEC-registered firm experience (RIA, broker-dealer, investment advisor) Multi-entity operational experience (shared services model across multiple legal entities) Track record hiring and building operations teams Miami or multi-location (US + international) operations experience COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Competitive compensation commensurate with experience Performance-based discretionary bonus Comprehensive benefits: health, dental insurance, 401(k) PTO and sick days Small, elite team; entrepreneurial culture; direct CEO access Coconut Grove, FL office locationwalkable neighborhood, high quality of life On-site 5 days/week (not a remote role) WHY THIS ROLE Strategic scope: Build operational backbone for growing investment firm, family office, and education foundationarchitecting systems, not executing tasks High autonomy: End-to-end operational ownership with minimal oversightmake decisions, implement quickly, see direct impact AI-first organization: Genuine AI implementation (Claude Team deployment, API automation, agent-based workflows)not just discussion Mission-driven: Support investment excellence and Aragon Forward's mission to revolutionize education for the AI era Entrepreneurial velocity: Small team, direct CEO/CIO access, rapid implementation capability TO APPLY Submit resume and cover letter addressing: 1.
