Sales & Use Tax Accountant
Our client is seeking a Sales & Use Tax Accountant to join their team and play a key role in supporting and building their sales and use tax function. This is a hands-on position focused on multi-state compliance, audit support, and day-to-day indirect tax responsibilities. Responsibilities: Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns Prepare and file personal property tax returns Support sales and use tax audits, including documentation and responses Research sales and use tax laws and regulations across multiple states Assist with the selection and implementation of sales and use tax software Maintain accurate tax records and supporting schedules Identify process improvements and compliance efficiencies Collaborate with accounting and finance teams as needed Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required) 57 years of sales and use tax experience Experience supporting or participating in sales and use tax audits Strong background in multi-state tax compliance Comfortable working in a less structured, entrepreneurial environment Detail-oriented, hands-on, and proactive
