Senior Tax Analyst PRIMARY ACTIVITIES Assists in the preparation of tax accounting calculations required to comply with FAS 109, FIN 18, FIN 48 and other tax accounting related GAAP Assists in the preparation and completion of specifically assigned federal, foreign, and state income tax returns, federal excise tax returns, information reporting, and other forms as necessary. Responsible for tax accounting and reporting impact of FAS 123R Manages compliance with GAAP and SEC promulgations Assists in the preparation and analysis of various tax projects, including R&D credit, accounting methods, meals & entertainment, fixed assets, section 199, 263A, transfer pricing, medical device excise tax, international tax, etc. Assists in the IRS and state tax audit process Researches, interprets and applies tax accounting laws applicable to new business, transactions, and new items. Consults with tax management regarding day to day compliance with tax laws and changes needed to comply with new regulations Assist in tax education of the tax department and accounting department staff MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required A minimum of four (4) years of Tax compliance and tax provision experience Strong analytical, organization and communication skills Extensive knowledge of desktop applications 5+ to 7 years experience Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree Additional Information
