Responsibilities

• Serve as a lead legal advisor for fintech products.
• Navigate and advise on complex regulatory, compliance, and commercial aspects of launching new financial products globally.
• Draft and negotiate agreements with banks and payment processors.
• Review new products, features, and initiatives to develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to support product development and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in preparing and responding to inquiries from federal and state regulators.

Must-Have Skills

• Juris Doctor degree and bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• 7+ years of legal experience in the financial services or fintech environments with a focus on payments.
• Deep knowledge of federal and state payment regulations.
• Experience interfacing with banks, regulatory agencies, and payment networks.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills within high‑growth, fast‑paced environments.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Experience advising on risk mitigation for technology platforms.
• An understanding of privacy and content compliance.
