
Director of Business Development - Semiconductor

This role is part of a global IoT and Digital Engineering business, focused on driving growth in engineering services for major semiconductor clients across North America . The position involves leading sales initiatives, managing strategic accounts, and building long-term client partnerships across semiconductor engineering domains, including chip design, software, hardware, supply chain, and sustainability.
The ideal candidate will bring 13+ years of industry experience , with a strong ability to shape proposals, build executive relationships, and drive complex sales engagements while collaborating closely with cross-functional and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow strategic relationships with key semiconductor clients by promoting end-to-end product engineering services , including ASIC design, pre- and post-silicon validation, and embedded software.
- Present, promote, and sell semiconductor-focused engineering services to both prospective and existing clients.
- Build and maintain detailed account maps , identify high-potential opportunities, and develop go-to-market strategies in collaboration with technical and sales leadership.
- Engage senior client executives, engineering leaders, and procurement stakeholders to establish and expand long‑term partnerships.
- Drive pipeline development and manage the full sales cycle through closure, contributing to sustained revenue growth and market expansion.
- Apply deep domain expertise to guide solution development across chip design, hardware engineering, and system engineering .
- Monitor account performance, lead business reviews, and support relationship management efforts to expand the service footprint.
- Represent the organization at semiconductor industry events , contributing to thought leadership and enhancing market visibility through client engagements.
Minimum Qualifications
- 13+ years of experience in semiconductor services sales , including direct sales ownership and strategic account leadership.
- Proven track record of closing large, complex engineering services deals , particularly in ASIC design, with quota accountability of $50M+ .
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience (minimum 13 years).
- Strong ability to build and sustain senior‑level client relationships, particularly with engineering leadership.
- Experience developing sales strategies for customer portfolios and owning detailed Account Plans.
