Seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to lead and optimize mortgage operations team in Scottsdale, AZ . This is a pivotal executive leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, streamlining processes, and ensuring a high level of service delivery from loan submission through closing. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the mortgage industry, a solutions-oriented mindset, proficiency in Encompass LOS , 5+ years of VP-level (or higher) leadership experience , and a proven background in full correspondent lending operations .
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of Processing, Underwriting Coordination, Disclosures, Closing, and Post-Closing departments.
- Ensure operational alignment with full correspondent lending processes and investor requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership to ensure a seamless transition from origination to operations, delivering exceptional service to clients and partners.
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine operational workflows, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor pipeline performance, turn-times, and key operational metrics, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Mentor and develop department leads and team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and investor compliance requirements across all operational functions.
- Partner with Executive Leadership to align operational strategies with company growth goals.
- Manage relationships with key vendors, including LOS providers (Encompass), AMC partners, and compliance resources.
- Lead process automation initiatives and technology implementations to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of mortgage operations leadership experience at the VP level or higher is required.
- Hands-on experience with Encompass LOS is mandatory.
- Strong background in full correspondent lending operations.
- Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional mortgage operations teams.
- Strong knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and Non-QM loan products.
- Deep understanding of mortgage compliance regulations and agency guidelines.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills with a proactive mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
