
Superintendent - Federal - Washington DC
This role oversees all on‑site field operations for a federal historic renovation project at the Washington, DC Navy Yard, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule execution. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of federal construction experience, is a U.S. citizen, and is prepared for future travel as the company continues to expand its federal project footprint.
Base pay range
$110,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr
Description
- Enforce all safety policies and address violations among employees, subcontractors, and vendors
- Lead field execution using the company's Quality Management System
- Set production goals with trade partners and ensure expectations are clearly communicated and met
- Develop the project schedule in partnership with the Project Manager; update monthly to maintain baseline milestones and identify opportunities
- Maintain and manage a rolling 3‑week look‑ahead schedule
- Oversee daily field activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification
Profile
- 10+ years of federal construction experience
- Experience with historic renovation projects
- Strong knowledge of USACE EM385‑1‑1 safety requirements, hazard identification, and compliance
- Proficiency with:
- RMS
- Bluebeam
- Microsoft Office
- Ability to work full‑time onsite in a field trailer at the DC Navy Yard
- Willingness to travel for future assignments
