Sr. Manager, Contracts – Defense & National Security - San Diego
We’re looking for a seasoned Sr. Manager, Contracts to join our team! You’ll manage government contracts (FAR/DFARS), provide strategic guidance on risk assessment, negotiate terms, and lead contract management activities. This role requires strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders including legal, finance, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage complex government contracts and proposals.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensure compliance, and mitigate risks.
- Provide strategic advice on contractual obligations and regulations.
- Partner with finance to secure contract awards and manage payment terms.
- Supervise direct reports and work closely with executive leadership.
Requirements :
- 7-10 years of experience in a defense, aerospace, or tech company.
- Strong expertise in FAR/DFARS, DCS, and FMS contracting.
- Proven leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- U.S. Security Clearance required (must be U.S. Citizen).
