Role Overview
We are a highly specialized national middle‑market investment bank focused on the Industrials sector. The firm is seeking an Operations Director to support M&A advisory, drive process improvements, and lead AI integration.
Title: Operations Director
Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 + Bonus
Group Focus: Industrials (Chemicals, Industrial Services, Distributions, Industrial Technology and related segments)
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the organization’s current investment banking processes, technology, and workflow—from deal origination through execution and closing.
- Benchmark against leading practices both internally and across the financial services industry.
- Redesign workflows to enhance strategic insight, quality, and execution speed, supported by an integrated and intuitive technology stack that enables seamless data capture without redundancy.
- Identify opportunities to embed AI agents within specific workflow components and establish a unified AI framework capable of interpreting and leveraging firmwide data.
- Ensure new processes are cohesive with the broader investment banking and advisory ecosystem.
- Commit to ongoing optimization and continuous improvement of operational efficiency and performance.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or technical certification (MBA, MS in Information Systems, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) preferred.
- 7–15 years of experience in investment banking operations, business process design, or strategic operations roles in financial services or consulting.
- Proficiency in running an M&A process with experience in M&A and Investment Banking.
- Prior exposure to M&A deals, especially in Industrials, and understanding of the end‑to‑end deal process.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive efficiency.
- Experience in any Industrials sector is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface directly with senior investment bankers and firm leadership.
