Laboratory Director needed for progressive healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

The Laboratory Department Director performs supervisory duties pertinent to the normal functioning of the Clinical Laboratory in its support of all areas of the general hospital. Every employee of the laboratory at the Medical Center is expected to promote the mission and philosophy of the hospital by acting in a caring, courteous and confidential manner toward patients, visitors, colleagues, and staff while performing their duties and responsibilities according to the expected standards. Each laboratory staff member is required to accept responsibility for the accuracy of their work as dictated by Professional Standards for Clinical Laboratory Scientists or Health Care Workers. Staff members maintain confidentiality of all reports, preserve the integrity of patient sample identification, and perform designated tasks to enable the laboratory to comply with all regulatory standards of Clinical and Anatomic Laboratories.

Qualifications

• CA CLS license
• ASCP Registry recommended
• 5+ years management experience
• Acute hospital setting preferred

Candidate Must Have

• 5+ to 7 years of management experience
• Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred)
• General acute care hospital setting experience as Lab Director
