Based in the Flatiron District of NYC, this early-stage, VC-backed startup ($5M+ led by Bessemer) builds modern AI-native software for government agencies (including education). Operating an omni-product model and rapid-deploying tailored solutions across high-leverage use cases, they're scaling fast and planning to triple their team size in Q1! This is not a traditional roadmap-driven PM role ; this is for someone who wants to embed with users, own problems, ship working code, and build something that scales across agencies. This senior-level PM will be the connective tissue between government clients, engineers, and the core platform.

Ideal candidates are resourceful builders who learn fast, don’t need a rulebook, and thrive on meaningful ownership , hungry to solve hard problems with powerful tools and smart teammates.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Embed with clients to understand workflows, pain points, and requirements
• Translate ambiguous and verbalized needs into clear product direction and build plans
• Partner directly with engineers to ship working software quickly - without formal tickets or long planning cycles
• Leverage AI-native tools (like Claude Code) to prototype, iterate, and scale solutions
• Own product delivery quality and ensure outcomes that meet and exceed client expectations
• Identify opportunities to reuse and modularize solutions for deployment across other clients
• Travel to client sites a few times per month to build relationships and context
• Balance immediate client needs with long-term platform thinking

What You'll Need:

• High learning velocity and intense intellectual curiosity
• Experience as a Product Manager or Product Consultant, ideally in the AI space
• Proven track record in ambiguous, high-agency environments - startups, product consulting, management consulting, VC/PE-backed orgs, or research-heavy roles
• Strong communicator who can build trust with senior stakeholders, especially in public sector contexts
• Hands-on builder mindset who thrives on ownership and loves solving problems
• AI-native approach to product development ; comfortable using tools like Claude Code daily
• Bonus if you have prior experience with the public sector/civic tech or experience as an Engineer, but neither is required
