Program Director . Salary: $95,000. A nationally recognized comprehensive Health and Human Services Agency, with over 60 programs across New York City and greater New York Area. The Role
The Program Director is responsible for providing day-to-day management of the project, including submission of SAMHSA reports and QA/QI. Hires staff, arranges required trainings, provides clinical supervision and ensures clinical proficiency of staff. Spends half their time on direct service delivery. Collaborates closely with Evaluator and ensures data collection, main contact for SAMHSA.
Responsibilities
- Implements and manages program services in accordance with agency and funder expectations and develops treatment components to meet needs of persons served.
- Helps develop, implement and deploy agency policy and procedures.
- Provides clinical and administrative supervision to program staff.
- Interviews, hires, trains, appraises, disciplines and may terminate subordinate staff.
- Monitors quality, effectiveness and efficiency of clinical services and safety of environment of care.
- Ensures clinical staff maintains accurate, complete and timely records that comply with regulatory standards and agency internal policy and procedure.
- Ensures that all program staff upholds the agency's Code of Conduct/Code of Ethics and comply with all Federal, state and local law/regulation, including 42 CFR confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling or Psychology with five (5) years' experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment, ideally with population of focus. Min two (2) years administrative/supervisory experience in the field of addiction and/or mental health for designated programs.
- OASAS CASAC certification (Advanced or Master Level) if not a licensed NYSED Qualified Health Professional (QHP) preferred.
- Seminar in Field Instructions (SIFI) preferred or willingness to obtain within One year from date of hire for all Program Directors that are Social Workers.
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatments, managed care principles, and behavior practices.
- Knowledge of OASAS, OMH, CSAT guidance.
