Your Role as a Certified Activity Director
- Develop, implement, and oversee engaging activity programs tailored to residents’ abilities, interests, and care plans
- Plan and coordinate a monthly calendar of individual and group activities, special events, and family-centered experiences
- Conduct resident assessments and participate in care planning and discharge planning processes
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, administration, and interdisciplinary teams to support resident well-being
- Supervise and support activity staff to ensure quality programming and positive resident engagement
- Encourage resident and family involvement in activity planning and goal setting
- Maintain required documentation, reports, and administrative duties
- Ensure activity supplies and materials are available and organized
- Promote a positive, energetic, and inclusive environment for residents
Who We’re Looking For
- Current Certified Activity Director (ADC or equivalent certification) required
- Minimum of two years of activity experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing
- Creative, organized, and motivated leader with strong communication skills
- Passionate about improving residents’ quality of life through meaningful engagement
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
- Ability to adapt, lead, and positively influence others
- Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
