Responsibilities
- Capturing, designing, communicating, and maintaining modern enterprise data architecture patterns, designs, practices, and roadmaps-at the contextual, conceptual, and logical levels.
- Enabling data deployment and implementation across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to define iterative transitional and target state data architecture practices.
- Developing and maintaining strong awareness and acumen of business domains, regulatory considerations, and financial industry standards.
- Planning and leading data architecture initiatives across IT and business organizations and teams.
- Defining and establishing enterprise technical strategy, standards, and guidelines within the data architecture domain.
- Participating in architecture review boards and representing the data architecture domain for critical firmwide initiatives.
- Mentoring and leading data architects, engineers, and operations resources across the firm as they adopt modern practices.
Skills Required
- Architecture Management - Leading the design, implementation, and ongoing support of architectural initiatives from inception to operational maintenance, with a focus on driving initiatives across teams and enterprises.
- Conceptual Thinking - Finding effective solutions by taking a holistic, abstract or theoretical perspective.
- Enterprise Architecture - Managing the integration of the organization's technology strategy with business processes and goals through an effective enterprise architecture.
- System Design and Architecture - Implementing concepts for system design, ensuring compatibility with cloud architecture, and utilizing adaptive approaches for lifecycle models and methodologies.
- Diagnostic Information Gathering - Identifying the information needed to clarify a situation, seeking that information from appropriate sources, and using skillful questioning to draw out the information when others are reluctant to disclose it.
Education & Work Experience
- Degree: MS preferred
- Work Experience: 15+ years
