We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.## We are hiring a Sales Director-Wastewater!## ## Role:The Sales Director for the Capital Wastewater team will be a strategic leadership role responsible for driving sales growth across multiple Xylem product lines, including Sanitaire, Envirex, EnviroMix and Evoqua. With a total sales responsibility of more than $200 million, this position requires a dynamic individual capable of leading a diverse technical sales team, both direct and indirect, across all of North America. The role demands a combination of strategic planning, team leadership, technical expertise, and market development skills to achieve and surpass sales targets while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional to lead a regional team and significantly impact the company's growth trajectory in the US Water and Wastewater market. The successful candidate will demonstrate a blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities to excel in this dynamic environment.## ## Responsibilities:* Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the US Municipal market to achieve the annual sales target.* Lead, motivate, and manage a technical sales team across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regional market needs.* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors and 3rd party representative channel to expand market presence and drive revenue growth.* Coordinate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure product positioning and customer requirements are effectively addressed.* Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.* Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and analysis to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and strategic initiatives.* Ensure compliance with regional regulations and company policies across all sales activities.* Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the product lines and enhance the company's visibility in the European market.## Key Competencies:* Proven experience in sales leadership within technical or industrial sectors, preferably with experience in water treatment, environmental, or related industries utilizing indirect channels.* Strong understanding of the US Muni market dynamics, customer needs, and value propositions.* Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.* Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop innovative sales approaches and overcome market challenges.* Technical knowledge of the product lines to effectively communicate value propositions and technical solutions.* Ability to travel extensively within North America to support sales activities and client engagement.**High Impact Behaviors:** • Strategic Decision Making: A manager must be able to assess complex situations, consider long-term implications, and make decisions that align with the organization’s vision and goals. This behavior includes mentoring, providing opportunities for professional growth, and creating an environment where continuous learning is encouraged and valued. **Qualifications:** • Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field, with at least 10 years sales management/sales experience, with at least 5 years experience in the Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Industry • Strong technical skills with proficiency in sales tools and software (e.g., SalesForce, CRM systems) • Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies and plans • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively. • A strategic thinker with a test and learn approach to marketing efforts and process improvements.**Salary:**The estimated salary range for this position is $150K to $210K plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
