BD Director - California - Cell Therapy CDMO
CDC are partnering with a rapidly growing CDMO that pioneers innovative technologies in drug discovery and stem cell therapy, with a focus on induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC). They work hand in hand with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, empowering them to accelerate their drug development pipelines and explore the potential of immune and regenerative medicine cell therapy medicine. We are looking for a strong hunter on the West Coast to drive sales and bring in new business for the European manufacturing team.
Responsibilities
- Own active prospecting and outbound lead generation across biotech, biopharma, and emerging cell therapy companies.
- Identify, engage, and qualify new accounts through cold outreach, conferences, referrals, and targeted campaigns.
- Build and maintain a robust, high-quality sales pipeline aligned with annual targets.
- Lead commercial discussions through proposal development, pricing, and contract negotiation (in collaboration with Legal and Technical teams).
- Partner closely with Technical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Management teams to scope opportunities and ensure feasibility.
- Serve as the commercial lead for assigned opportunities, owning customer communication and expectations.
- Develop deep understanding of the West Coast cell therapy ecosystem.
- Represent the company at key industry conferences, partnering events, and meetings.
Requirements
- At least 5 years CDMO experience.
- At least 4 years selling CGT services.
- Strong network of customers in California.
- Hunter mentality with start-up experience.
