Overview

The Director of Platform Data Analytics will build, lead, and scale our internal data function. This individual will oversee a multidisciplinary team of Data Managers and BI Developers, driving both internal excellence and high-impact client deliverables. These deliverables will focus on helping our clients understand and optimize their business growth potential through data-driven insights, including target market analysis, geographic expansion opportunities, and human capital resource planning. This is a high-visibility, strategic role that bridges data infrastructure, analytics leadership, and client impact.

This leader establishes the vision for how data is prioritized, governed, and leveraged across a matrixed and global organization. They own the analytics intake and prioritization process, ensuring work is aligned to business objectives, enterprise OKRs, and highest-impact initiatives. Success is defined by data trust, disciplined execution, and analytics that materially improve decision-making and performance.

Objectives

  • Develop and lead analytics teams across a matrixed and global environment
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the data analysis department, aligned with organizational goals
  • Design, implement, and continuously optimize analytics intake and prioritization processes aligned to company objectives
  • Ensure analytics resources are focused on the highest-value initiatives
  • Oversee the integration and optimization of data systems and governance, ensuring efficiency, scalability, data integrity with controls for quality, privacy, security, access, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide data governance frameworks
  • Ensure that Platform Deliverables are created with accuracy and meeting client deadlines
  • Drive innovation by researching and adopting advanced analytics tools, AI/ML technologies, and methodologies
  • Mentor and develop department leaders, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Manage resource allocation and budget for data analysis initiatives to maximize ROI
  • Balance innovation with operational efficiency through industry best practices and thoughtful adoption of advanced analytics, AI, and/or automation
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align analytics strategies with broader business objectives
  • Establish performance metrics and monitor the impact of data-driven strategies on business outcomes - including effectiveness, adoption, and value
  • Represent the organization in key industry forums, showcasing thought leadership in analytics
  • Oversee the creation of predictive models and dashboards to support proactive decision-making
  • Partner with IT to ensure robust infrastructure support for analytics tools and system

Competencies

  • Proven ability to lead enterprise analytics organizations with strategic and operational rigor
  • Experience designing and managing analytics intake and prioritization frameworks
  • Ability to critically review, interpret, and coach team members on their deliverables
  • Expertise in enterprise-level data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, R, and SQL
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies
  • Ability to allocate departmental resources to optimize team member and vendor resources to meet deadlines and targets
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
  • Deep understanding of data governance, security protocols, and regulatory compliance
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen, particularly in operational and financial analytics
  • Commitment to fostering an innovative and inclusive team culture
  • Expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI applications in business
  • Proficiency in suitability analysis, scenario planning and financial modeling
  • Ability to balance innovation with efficiency and execution discipline
  • Strong business acumen and executive communication skills

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related domain, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
  • Proven track record of managing data initiatives in mid-to-large-scale organizations
