Job Type: Full-Time, In-Office, Monday- Friday other than when on sales calls or field appointments
Base Salary: $110,000 per year. On-target earnings of $170K-180K, uncapped and performance-based

As we expand into new markets, we’re looking for a Business Development Leader to drive growth, close business, and build the foundation of a scalable sales organization.
The Role: Where Strategy Meets Execution
This is a hands-on, senior player-coach role. You’ll personally generate and close new business while building, leading, and mentoring a high-performing sales team as we grow geographically.
You’ll be based out of our Chicago headquarters, working in-office when not on field appointments.

Business Development & Sales
- Prospect, qualify, and close new clients for medical-grade janitorial and related services.
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to support expansion into new markets and regions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with facilities directors, supply chain, procurement and decision-makers.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate forecasting.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery for new clients.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard sales representatives as the company expands.
- Set clear performance goals, KPIs, and accountability standards for the sales team.
- Coach and mentor team members to improve selling skills, industry knowledge, and results.
- Establish repeatable sales processes, tools, and best practices.
- Foster a performance-driven, collaborative, and ethical sales culture.
- Identify new geographic markets, verticals, and growth opportunities.
- Provide leadership with insights, data, and recommendations to support expansion decisions.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive experience in B2B sales and business development within an established, ideally in facilities services or janitorial services.
- 5+ years in a senior sales role with responsibility for large accounts, complex deal cycles, and revenue targets.
- Prior experience leading, managing, or building sales teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Demonstrated success closing complex service-based contracts.
- Previous experience managing, mentoring, or building sales teams.
- Polished, professional, and upbeat demeanor with a strong executive presence.
- Proven ability to handle rejection with resilience, tenacity, and professionalism.
- Strong understanding of consultative selling and long sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized with strong CRM and pipeline management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
