Factor Search is actively seeking a Plant Director responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations for their chemical blending facilities based in Memphis, TN.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead our Memphis chemical blending facility. This role is responsible for overall plant performance, including safety, production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and financial results. The Plant Manager will drive operational excellence while fostering a strong safety culture and developing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of a 150-employee chemical blending and packaging facility.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and environmental regulations.
- Drive a zero-incident safety culture and oversee PSM (if applicable).
- Deliver production targets while maintaining quality and on-time customer shipments.
- Manage plant budget, control operating costs, and improve profitability.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, waste reduction).
- Develop and coach leadership team; build bench strength and succession plans.
- Oversee inventory management, raw material planning, and warehouse operations.
- Support capital projects and equipment upgrades.
- Liaise closely with the Senior Leadership team including the CEO and President
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field required.
- 10+ years manufacturing leadership experience; 5+ years in plant-level leadership.
- Must have experience in chemical manufacturing, or blending.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and environmental standards.
- Proven ability to lead large teams and improve operational performance.
