From intimate private dinners to full restaurant buyouts, weddings, corporate gatherings, and high-profile social events, Alba is built to host unforgettable experiences. We are seeking an experienced and driven Events Director to lead and grow our private events and catering division.

Position Summary

The Events Director will oversee all private dining, buyouts, and offsite catering sales and execution. This is a leadership role requiring strong restaurant experience, proven event sales ability, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in restaurants, events, and sales , with a track record of driving revenue and executing high-level events.

Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
  • Drive private dining, buyout, and offsite catering revenue

  • Respond to and convert inbound event inquiries

  • Proactively generate new business through outreach and relationship building

  • Build partnerships with wedding planners, corporate bookers, concierges, and local businesses

  • Conduct site tours and tastings

  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Event Planning & Execution
  • Manage events from inquiry through completion

  • Create proposals, contracts, BEOs, and event timelines

  • Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu planning

  • Coordinate staffing, rentals, vendors, and logistics

  • Lead execution on-site to ensure seamless service

Client Experience
  • Serve as primary client contact

  • Deliver high-touch, hospitality-driven service

  • Manage expectations while protecting restaurant operations

  • Follow up post-event to build repeat business

Administrative & Operational
  • Manage deposits, billing, and final invoicing

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting

  • Analyze event profitability

  • Ensure compliance with health and liquor regulations

Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in restaurants, events, and sales required

  • Proven event sales success with measurable revenue results

  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations

  • Experience with event software platforms (TripleSeat preferred)

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Financial literacy and budget management experience

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
