VP/Director - Sales Trader, Equity Trading

Citizens Sales Traders handle equity order flow from institutional clients utilizing the latest technology to meet client needs. This position works directly with position traders supporting current clients and developing new business with responsibility for sales, trading and account management.

The candidate will be responsible for receiving and executing equity orders. They may receive orders via the phone, email or a dedicated FIX session. The candidate must stay up to date on current market trends and communicate intelligently and professionally with clients. The candidate will be responsible for determining which strategy best fits the clients trading style and needs.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Handle trading activity from assigned client base
  • Support full client base as needed
  • Directly and indirectly participate in Sales efforts
  • Manage client relationships with an eye towards maintaining and growing revenue
  • Assist with Operational functions as needed

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of financial markets
  • Ability to understand complex market structures and electronic trading
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic trading environmentProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in equity trading
  • Series 7, 63 and 55 licenses (or equivalent) required

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $275,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
