What You Will Do: The Rates and Pricing Analyst supports the Cooperative’s rate design, Cost-of-Service Studies (COSS), forecasting, and regulatory activities to ensure fair, transparent, and financially sustainable pricing structures. This role is responsible for analyzing revenue requirements, customer usage patterns, wholesale power costs, and tariff designs to support equitable cost allocation across customer classes. The analyst also plays a key role in regulatory compliance and reporting, including support for Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) filings, Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) and Fuel Bank administration, distributed generation (DG) export rate updates, and internal financial and operational reporting.
What You Bring to Trico:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field
1–3 years of analysis experience (rate/COSS/forecasting/power cost/financial planning)
Seven years’ direct experience in rate design or financial analysis within an electric distribution utility in lieu of education.
Advanced Excel; ability to communicate complex analysis clearly
Utility/cooperative rate experience; ACC filing support
Familiarity with RUS requirements, DG export frameworks, PCA/Fuel Bank
Experience with BI tools (Power BI) and/or Python/R; tariff administration experience
Strong technical aptitude, detail oriented, and demonstrates proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Solutions (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Highly organized individual able to use Microsoft tools effectively (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
