Job Title: Senior Account Manager
Location: Spartanburg, SC / Hybrid (in-office 2-3 days/week preferred)
Salary Range: $70,000–85,000
Reports To: Account Management Team Lead

Job Summary The Senior Account Manager will own a portfolio of 20–25 retainer clients representing approximately $1M in annual revenue.
You'll be the primary relationship owner for your accounts and the person clients trust to understand their business, translate their goals into marketing action, and ensure they see measurable results from their investment.
Internally, you're the hub. You keep strategists, creatives, and content specialists aligned. You manage timelines, budgets, and expectations. You're the voice of the client to our team, and the voice of our team to the client.

Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for 20–25 retainer clients
Lead recurring strategy and performance meetings; present results, insights, and recommendations with confidence
Listen actively to uncover unspoken concerns and address issues before they elevate
Adapt your communication style to each client's needs, pace, and organizational culture
Performance & Strategy
Translate marketing metrics (CPL, ROAS, traffic, engagement) into clear business outcomes
Identify growth opportunities within accounts; expand scope when the opportunity is right for the client
Track account health, retention, and satisfaction; flag risks early
Internal Coordination
Keep projects scoped appropriately, on budget, and on schedule
Coordinate strategists, creatives, and content specialists; ensure the team has what they need to succeed
Document meeting notes, action plans, and processes in agency systems (Asana, Google Drive)
Process, Efficiency & AI
Build and refine repeatable processes for content-driven retainers (blogs, email, social, SEO)
Leverage ALINE Connect and other AI tools to streamline client communication, reporting, and workflow management
Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency without sacrificing client experience
Contribute to a lower-touch, higher-impact service model
Required Qualifications
5+ years of account management experience in a marketing agency environment
Experience managing a portfolio of $750K–$1M+ in annual client revenue
Proven success with content-driven retainers (SEO, content marketing, email, social)
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and performance metrics
Experience leading client-facing performance reviews and strategic planning sessions
Power user of AI tools: use AI daily for research, data analysis, workflow automation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving, not just writing assistance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized; able to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously
Proficiency with project management tools (Asana, Google Drive, or similar)
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building or improving client service processes within an agency
Background working with mid-sized, growth-focused companies
Demonstrated ability to implement AI-powered workflows that improve team efficiency
Experience with marketing analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media dashboards)
