
Apparel Designer (Collections & Technical)

Role Description We are seeking an Apparel Designer (Collections & Technical) to own the development of our collections from concept through production. This role is ideal for someone who is both creatively strong and highly technical - someone who understands that great design must also execute flawlessly. This is an in-person position based out of our Manhattan showroom.
Responsibilities
Design seasonal collections across loungewear, fleece, activewear, and related categories
Develop cohesive concepts, color stories, graphics, and print direction
Create detailed, production-ready tech packs for overseas factories
Manage sample revisions, fit comments, and construction details
Communicate directly with factories to ensure timelines and quality standards are met
Build and maintain organized design calendars aligned with wholesale and retail deadlines
Create CADs, artwork placements, and graphic files in Adobe Illustrator
Collaborate with leadership on assortment planning and product strategy
Prepare product files and documentation for systems such as ApparelMagic and wholesale platforms
Qualifications
4–7 years experience in apparel design
Strong technical design knowledge (construction, trims, fabrics, grading fundamentals)
Expert in Adobe Illustrator
Experience working with overseas factories
Highly organized and deadline-driven
Strong understanding of market positioning and retail production calendars
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment
Meets deadlines without constant oversight
Balances creativity with commercial awareness
