Overview: The Account Executive will serve as a key, strategic leader, focused on driving business growth and managing the end-to-end client relationship for one or more critical Federal Civilian accounts. This central role requires aligning the company’s core service offerings (including IT modernization, cloud/automation, systems integration, and professional services) directly with the agency’s mission requirements. Success in this position is measured by sustained business expansion and exceptional contract performance. The Account Executive will maintain a vital partnership with the assigned Program Manager(s) to ensure that growth initiatives seamlessly translate into successful project delivery and continuous client satisfaction. Responsibilities: Strategic Account Planning: Developing and executing a multi-year account roadmap aligned with agency mission needs, procurement cycles, and available contract vehicles. Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, senior-level relationships with key agency stakeholders, including program managers, contracting officers, CORs, CIO/CTO offices, and mission leads. Business Development & Capture: Identifying, qualifying, and driving new opportunities, including task orders, recompetes, contract expansions, and large IDIQs / BPAs / GWACs. Leading the capture process in collaboration with proposal teams to define win themes, teaming strategies, and price-to-win approaches. Executive Customer Liaison: Serving as the company’s executive point-of-contact for the customer, leading account briefings, status reviews, stakeholder engagements, and managing escalations. Internal Advocacy & Coordination: Coordinating cross-functionally across Business Development, Delivery, Operations, Finance, and Staffing to ensure resource alignment and readiness to meet account demands. Market Intelligence: Monitoring agency-specific trends (mission priorities, budget shifts, policy changes) to inform corporate strategy and service offering development. Qualifications: Experience: 10+ years in federal government contracting, with a focus on business development or account management for government clients. Track Record: Proven success in winning and significantly growing federal services contracts (beyond product sales), utilizing task orders, IDIQs, BPAs, and other key contract vehicles. GovCon Acumen: Strong understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle, including FAR and agency-specific procurement processes. Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with proposal and capture strategy. Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with senior government and internal leadership. Strategic Capability: Ability to think strategically, plan for the long-term, and effectively map company solutions to agency mission requirements. Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship with the ability to meet required federal clearance vetting.
