We’re growing and looking for an experienced, consultative sales professional who values relationships, collaboration, and delivering on what they promise.
The Opportunity This is not a transactional sales role.
As a Commercial Furniture Sales Representative, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients—developing new business while maintaining and growing long‑term relationships. You’ll guide clients through complex, project‑based sales cycles and collaborate closely with estimating, project management, and production to ensure successful outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Build and maintain relationships with commercial clients, designers, architects, and procurement partners
Develop new business through networking, referrals, industry events, outbound outreach, and inbound opportunities
Maintain and grow existing accounts, driving repeat and expanded business
Lead a consultative sales process—asking the right questions, listening carefully, and aligning solutions to client needs
Respond to RFPs and bid opportunities
Guide clients through Fortner’s proven process from design collaboration through production and delivery
Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and smooth handoffs
What We’re Looking For
3–5+ years of experience in consultative sales, account management, or business development
Experience in commercial furniture, contract interiors, manufacturing, procurement, or a related industry strongly preferred
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
Highly organized, self‑driven, and comfortable managing long sales cycles
Team‑oriented mindset with a service‑first approach
Comfortable working in the office and meeting clients in person

PAY RANGE $65,000 Base Salary, plus commission
