About the team Financial Accounting Section is responsible for financial, regulatory and tax reporting function including HKMA returns and tax computation. It also handles bank reconciliation and accounting operation control function.
Role requirements User Requirement :
Represent FA to work with Project team to discuss the business logic requirement
Provide data attributes and dictionary on finance perspective covering full set of operation and settlement of Money Markets, Derivative trading, Term loans and Trade loans transaction
Platform design :
Decide the accounting code for each "Event" and check if it will flow to Ledger
Review the Operating Model if it supports the Finance Workflow, and review if Finance process workflows are fully captured and aligned
Data Migration :
Ensure all the data could be properly migrated from source‑to‑target by using key and critical data fields.
Maintain the data mapping documents.
Implementation :
Create Validation rule and test case report
Perform and Validate the UAT, and provide Sign off
Provide training and procedure manual to FA department
Essential Functions :
Supports Section Head in transforming organisation/business model/operation
Builds an internal and external network and acquires knowledge to design strategy
Makes job allocation and time management effective by carefully monitoring staff's ability and workload
Proposes and creates solutions to difficult matters with a range of expertise
Motivates staff to work to their full potential and guides them for their self development

The ideal candidate should be able demonstrate leadership in promoting communication and team building, and managing people matters in a fair and consistent manner; and
He/she should respects for, and commits to, high standards of business conduct and integrity in managing his/her section, and conducting operations/reporting, etc.
Work experience, education and skills :
Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or related discipline;
At least 10 years' relevant experience in Change Management in Core banking and accounting system;
Experience in Murex is highly preferred;
Project management with Accounting mapping and creation for Markets Products in Banking experience, including Derivatives, IRS, CCS and Hedging accounting;
People management experience is essential;
Practical experience in participating user acceptance test in system implementation;
Strong interpersonal and communication skill with critical thinking mind‑set;
Strong product knowledge and good exposures to local regulatory requirements
Familiar with banking systems and bank products is a plus
Proactive and energetic and act as a good team player with a committed mindset
Excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving skills and strong collaboration across the teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office / PC applications
Good written and spoken English & Chinese
