272507Las Vegas, Nevada**The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International****THE JOB:**The Safety & Health Strategy Senior Manager for the Security Center of Excellence (COE) supports the Corporate Director of Safety & Health by executing all aspects of Safety & Health protocols, policies, and procedures of all Las Vegas Corporate facilities within MGM Resorts International (MGMRI).
This position identifies potential risks of injury or physical hazards to employees, property, and the environment, and assist the Director in developing methods to control the related hazards at an acceptable level.
The Senior Manager facilitates safety team meetings, conducts stakeholder collaboration meetings, and coordinates various COE committee activities.
This position has the responsibility of ensuring all protocols are properly documented and maintained in up-to-date policies and procedures, and owns the communication/content strategy of safety & health messaging to ensure the continual communication and training of safety & health guidance.**THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Responsible for enterprise-wide safety programs across Las Vegas Corporate facilities, including training and on-site support for coverage and major safety events* Supports leadership development and operational continuity by assisting with onboarding of Safety Managers and leading monthly Safety Committee meetings* Ensures consistency and standardization of the Corporate Safety Audit Program across corporate entities for safety practices; conducts property internal audits and inspections and advises Director of potential hazards* Oversees OSHA 300 logs and Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reporting for Corporate Entities; ensures compliance with all city/state/federal codes and safety standards for properties, projects, contractors, equipment, standards of work, and assists Director with implementing changes when necessary* Manages and investigates corporate on-the-job employee injuries, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and near-misses* Stakeholder in the long-range planning and other strategic initiatives within Safety and Health department; oversees the development and communication of Emergency Response Plans within Corporate Entities* Assists Director with audits and quality control measures; acts on Director's behalf with administrative processes when necessary**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:*** 5+ years of prior relevant experience in Safety, Engineering, Risk Management, Security, or related field required* Ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays required* Previous working experience in a similar Gaming/Resort industry preferred* Bachelor's Degree preferred**THE PERKS & BENEFITS:*** Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally* Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more* Free meals in our employee dining room* Free parking on and off shift* Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees)* Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community**VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION:**Are you ready to **JOIN THE SHOW**At MGM Resorts, we exist to entertain the human race and provide an unforgettable escape.
