Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kenosha, WI, United States
Fellowship Baptist Church
Kenosha, WI

Vision for the Role: Fellowship is a small, growing family of believers dedicated to the Gospel and our community. We are currently seeking a Worship Director who is not only a gifted musician but also a visionary leader.
Because we are currently a congregation without any live music, this role offers a unique, “blank canvas” opportunity. We are looking for a self-starter who can lead from an instrument, lead worship through hymns and contemporary music, and build music ministry from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Worship Leadership: Lead the musical portion of our weekly Sunday morning service.
Musical Selection: Curate a “blended” setlist that thoughtfully integrates classic hymns with modern contemporary worship songs.
Instrumental Accompaniment: Provide primary musical accompaniment (Guitar or Piano/Keyboard) for congregational singing.
Ministry Development: As the ministry grows, recruit and mentor potential volunteers (vocalists or instrumentalists) to join the worship team.
Creative Collaboration: Work closely with our Pastor in developing the music ministry, along with any other roles and responsibilities assigned by him.
Qualifications & Skills
A Servant’s Heart: A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that aligns with biblical leadership (1 Timothy 3).
Musical Proficiency: Strong vocal ability and the skill to lead worship while playing an instrument (Acoustic Guitar or Piano preferred).
Theological Alignment: Comfortable serving within a Southern Baptist context and in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
Self‑Starter Mentality: The ability to work independently to organize rehearsals, select music, and manage the audio/visual needs for the service.
Compensation & Hours
Status: Part‑time.
Salary: $15,000 – $20,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
Schedule: Sunday mornings and other services, plus mid‑week preparation and occasional special services (Good Friday, Christmas Eve, etc.).
How to Apply If you have a passion for leading worship and are excited about the prospect of building something new, we want to hear from you!
Please submit the following to pastor@myfbc.org:
Your Resume.
A brief Cover Letter sharing your heart for worship.
Any References you feel are relevant.
(Optional but encouraged) A Video Link or audio recording of you leading worship or playing your primary instrument.
