Responsibilities

Screening and approval of applications, qualifying prospective residents per requirements outlined in the Tenant Selection criteria.

Regular inspection of apartments, buildings, and grounds.

Ensuring proper maintenance of the units, buildings and grounds as per HUD’s Housing Quality Standards including health and safety monitoring equipment (smoke detection and fire alarm systems).

Collection of monthly rents and other ancillary income.

Monitoring delinquencies and taking necessary steps to collect including but not limited to making personal contact, drafting written notice, and initiating the eviction process.

Approaching tenant/landlord relations in a proactive manner and resolving resident complaints.

Providing continual guidance to tenants via tenant meetings, mailed notices, and one-on-one communication regarding requirements of the lease, Code provisions and the Section-8 program.

Enforcement of conditions of lease agreement, working closely with case management to engage tenants in appropriate corrective action plans.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours/week)

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Property Management (preferred) or a related field

1 - 3 years of experience working with a diverse population

3 - 5 years of experience in leasing/property management

Valid

Driver's License, proof of current car insurance and registration, access to a reliable working vehicle

Must have a personal cell phone
