Assistant / Junior Construction Superintendent – Structural Steel
North New Jersey | Full-Time | Permanent
Growing structural steel subcontractor in North NJ is seeking a
Junior to Mid-Level Construction Superintendent
to support field operations on commercial and industrial projects. This is a strong opportunity for someone ready to step up into a leadership role within structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing daily field operations for structural steel and misc. metals installation
Coordinate erectors, subcontractors, and general contractors on-site
Help manage site safety, quality control, and project schedules
Review erection drawings, shop drawings, and specifications
Attend job meetings and provide field updates to Project Managers
Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to plan
Qualifications
2–6 years of construction experience, preferably with structural steel
Field experience with steel erection strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret structural and shop drawings
Strong communication skills and leadership potential
