Position Location and Travel: This person must be located within LA County. This role is primarily remote with varying expectations of visits to satellite offices and clients. Travel is required up to 15-20% of the time. This role will include early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
Compensation The annual base amount for this position is dependent on several factors, including the candidate’s geographic location, experience, and qualifications. The annual base amount may be adjusted based on market conditions in the location where the employee resides.
A typical annual base range for this role is:
$80,000– $105,000
(actual compensation may vary by location and will follow local regulations).
Responsibilities
Serve as a day-to-day project manager for public outreach and infrastructure projects, maintaining communication, delegating tasks, tracking deadlines, supporting client needs, and building trusted relationships
Develop messaging, outreach strategies, and communication plans for community and stakeholder engagement
Manage and support execution of outreach campaigns, including managing timelines, drafting materials, and coordinating logistics
Develop engaging content and collateral for outreach, including digital campaigns
Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders and external partners to support outreach and project success
Work closely with designers to ensure outreach materials align with branding and campaign goals
Monitor and flag potential issues; support development of response strategies during crisis or emergency communications
Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, research, and attending relevant community events
Stay informed on current events, political developments, and best practices in public affairs outreach and communications
Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
5+ years of previous Public Outreach or Community Relations experience required
Proven success in managing strategic outreach campaigns
Experience managing project team of 2-3 employees
Previous public relations agency experience preferred
Experience with transportation, water or energy clients or projects preferred
