Tax Preparer

Job Title: Tax Preparer (Individual Returns)

Pay: $20-$25/hour

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team immediately to handle individual income tax returns during peak season. The ideal Tax Preparer is detail-oriented, efficient, and comfortable managing multiple returns in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual federal, state, and local tax returns (1040s)

• Gather, organize, and analyze client tax documentation

• Identify applicable deductions and credits

• Communicate directly with clients to clarify information and resolve issues

• Ensure compliance with current tax laws and filing requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience working as a Tax Preparer handling individual returns

• Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax regulations

• Proficiency with tax preparation software

• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

• Ability to work independently as a reliable Tax Preparer

This role requires a proactive Tax Preparer who can start immediately and contribute with minimal supervision. The successful Tax Preparer will be confident in managing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
