Senior Mechanical Engineer – Electromechanical Systems Design, Test & Launch Leads the design, development, testing, optimization, and launch of hoisting systems and components for suspended access and lifting equipment. This role owns Innovation, product performance, customer experience, manufacturability, market share, and margin improvement across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design, development, test, and launch of electromechanical systems, assemblies, and subcomponents.

Translate customer, regulatory, and internal requirements into robust, manufacturable designs.

Perform engineering analyses, including stress, fatigue, deflection, and load calculations.

Own new product introduction (NPI) activities, including design reviews, prototyping, testing, and launch readiness.

Optimize existing products using customer feedback, field data, warranty trends, and manufacturing input.

Drive design improvements to enhance reliability, usability, safety, and customer experience.

Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities through design simplification, material changes, and process improvements to maximize product margins.

Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and suppliers to improve manufacturability and reduce lifecycle cost.

Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing, assembly, and field issues.

Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.

Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, specifications, and manuals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

10+ years of experience in mechanical design & testing, preferably with electromechanical system, lifting or safety‑critical equipment.

Demonstrated experience with SolidWorks & FEA software.

Solid understanding of statics, mechanics of materials, machine design, and fatigue.

Experience with GD&T, blueprint reading, and manufacturing processes.

Proven ability to lead product launches and cross‑functional engineering initiatives.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Environment:

The job will be performed in an office environment (50%), test lab (20%) and in a manufacturing facility (30%).

Typical working hours: 8am to 5pm

Travel: Limited ( Physical activity: Should be willing and able to lift fifty (50) pounds periodically
