Freelance
Senior Designer
with a strategic mindset, exceptional design skills, and strong project management experience to join our studio 24-32 hours a week.
The Role This position is ideal for an experienced and highly organized designer who possesses a deep knowledge of contemporary design, architecture, and art. The right candidate is confident in all aspects of construction management, skilled at leading a team, and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. This is a
part time, contract based
role with an
immediate start . For the right fit, full time salaried placement in 6-10 months is possible.

Candidate Requirements
Minimum
8 years
of professional experience in high-end interior design
Advanced proficiency in
AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Suite, and Google Suite
Strong skills in
architectural programming and spatial planning
Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Experience preparing
client presentations, space plans, and Design Development (DD) sets
Proven track record managing all phases of design projects—from concept to completion
Strong knowledge of contemporary design, including artisans, makers, galleries, and showrooms
Excellent time management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects
Must be currently based in NYC
and eligible to work in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Design and manage
multiple projects
from concept through completion
Work closely with the
Principal Designer
to develop full-scope design schemes, including:
Ideation, space planning, and layouts
Electrical plans, finish selection, and detailing
Sourcing furnishings and custom fabricationsLead
client presentations
and design deck assembly
Manage the creation and redlining of
DD sets, schedules, and spec sheets
for architects and general contractors
Oversee and coordinate
custom furniture design and fabrication
Serve as a key liaison between
clients, vendors, architects, and general contractors
Mentor and train
junior designers , delegating tasks and overseeing deliverables
Maintain project organization, logistics, and ongoing client correspondence
Assist in
styling projects and photoshoots
