We are looking for A disciplined, detail‑oriented analyst who thrives on independent work and critical thinking. This role requires both technical depth and creative problem‑solving to navigate complex systems and abstract concepts. Success depends on the ability to balance speed and precision – knowing when to move fast and when to ensure accuracy, even in challenging situations.
Role Responsibilities
Analyze commodity volumes, production, prices, contract data, and flow dynamics
Prepare monthly reports detailing regional supply & demand dynamics
Create unique and insightful data visualizations for complex supply & demand systems
Communicate both technical and non‑technical information to internal teams and external clients
Support senior analysts in product development and maintenance
Develop price hub forecasts and methodologies
Develop new products and tools for data analysis and manipulation
Compensation
Salary range is $70,000 - $80,000 plus bonus opportunities
This is a full‑time, exempt position based in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and reports to Energy Market Team Lead

Requirements Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required: Technical/quantitative fields strongly preferred (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics/Finance, Geology, Engineering or related)
Demonstrated analytical ability through coursework, academic projects, internships, or research experience
Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail, with the ability to break down complex problems into tactical actions
Strong ownership mentality: able to work in ambiguous situations and propose solutions
Ability to learn quickly, prioritize, and adapt to new assignments in a fast‑paced environment
Exposure to SQL or relational databases through coursework, projects, or prior experience
Exposure to Python or similar programming languages
Familiarity with the Microsoft office suite, including proficiency with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s of Science in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics/Finance, Geology, Engineering, or related field
Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, automate repetitive workflows, and build clean, reliable systems.
Experience presenting analytical findings clearly in academic, research, or professional settings
Experience or familiarity with natural gas markets, analytics, or trading
Strong working knowledge of Python and SQL, demonstrated through academic, research, or project‑based experience.
Familiarity with data analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) and data visualization tools (e.g., Plotly, Tableau)
Strong proficiency in MS Excel (automation, VBA, Power Query)
Familiarity with FERC, DOE regulations
Experience with Machine Learning methodology
Experience in client‑facing roles
