Job Description Title: Contract Management Analyst
Duration: 12 Months
Basic Purpose
Administers company electric and gas contracts. Assists in preparation of contracts, agreements, and addendums for review and approval. Tracks documents through the life of the contract.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administers contracts applicable to electric and gas Rule 9 requirements and related Public Utility Commission of Nevada (PUCN) tariffs.
Ensures overall compliance of the terms and conditions of the contract with established policies, procedures and regulations.
Collaborates with internal departments to minimize contractual risks to the Company.
Reviews transactions under the terms of the contract.
Provides cost tracking and analyst on high profile projects.
Manages periodic invoicing for projects with special billing terms.
Assists with dispute resolutions as needed.
Assist other departments with Rule 9 related issues.
Performs all annual contract reviews for Joint Use Agreements (JPAs) as required by electric and gas Rule 9 to ensure compliance 9 is maintained and all refunds are processed on time as outlined in Rule 9.
Analyzes and interprets applicable PUCN, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and other industry-related rules and regulations as appropriate; reports to management potential impact on company goals and objectives.
Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school and 3 years of related work experience in business management, finance or accounting.
Candidates that do not possess a Bachelor’s Degree must have a minimum of 7 years of related work experience in business management, finance, accounting or contract administration.
Demonstrate knowledge of:
Electric and gas designs.
Laws and regulations applicable to the corporation.
All areas of business operations.
Company’s products and services.
Administrative services.
Detail oriented, human relations, time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, interpersonal and organizational.
