This position will require strong leadership skills while managing a team of installers and apprentice electricians.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise large‑scale projects from initiation to completion while coordinating with general contractors or superintendents to ensure timely project completion.

Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or risks, taking proactive measures to mitigate them.

Create and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, material orders, and schedules, and manage time sheets to ensure your team arrives on time.

Provide team knowledge and understanding of project planning and execution.

Continuously motivate, train, and support the team to generate a productive work environment and facilitate growth and advancement.

Maintain close communication with project manager, field supervisors, and other stakeholders (e.g., for change orders), and resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during project execution.

Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.

Execute plans of electrical wiring for well‑functioning lighting, intercom, and a variety of other electrical systems.

Log activities and testing results.

Manage the planning of layout and installation of wiring and fixtures.

Place conduit, pipes, and tubing inside designated partitions, walls, or other designated areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.

Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixture.

Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specification and local codes.

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair to ensure compliance with codes.

Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

Always monitor processes, materials, and surroundings to detect and assess problems.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Extensive knowledge of reading electrical drawings and blueprints.

Ability to decipher drawings and execute effectively what has been designed.

Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines.

Excellent critical thinking and problem‑solving ability.

A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.

Working knowledge of the NEC and Building Codes.

Strong teamwork, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail, multitasking, organizational, time management, and project management skills.

Ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter).

Electrical installation, troubleshooting, reading and interpreting technical drawings and specs.

Good color vision and ability to distinguish wires based on their colors.

Good listening skills and the ability to effectively follow instructions and directions.

Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and address hazards or malfunctions.

Good physical strength and stamina to work effectively in a hazardous and uncomfortable environment.

Good dexterity to effectively handle tools to facilitate work.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills and the ability to establish and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships.

Strong organization skills and the ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work.

Qualifications

10+ years of electrician experience.

Proven experience in a leadership role.

Extensive experience working on residential projects.

OSHA 30 preferred.

Working Conditions & Requirements

Job requires working in all elements depending on the job location and time of year to include heat, cold, wind, and rain.

Must be able to sit, reach, stand, crawl, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, push, and pull objects, and routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds.

The nature of the work may require you to work in restricted areas (closets, tunnels, crawl spaces, attics).

Must be able to perform work at various heights of up to 50° from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other safe work areas.

Know how to operate scissor lifts.

Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers.

Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit or moving or lifting heavy objects. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.

Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required.

Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses at all times), respirator when required.
