Job Summary/Description Gray Media is seeking a full‑time Digital Content Producer for its corporate team. We’re looking for someone to create content that will boost social engagement and drive traffic to station websites across the company. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of digital trends and can leverage metrics and analytics to drive their next move. The successful candidate is an innovative self‑starter who beats deadlines and the competition, handles pressure, and strives to be first and best with the story. This is a remote position.
Duties/Responsibilities
Writes several AP‑style news stories daily; creates live streams; adds videos to stories
Subsequently develops engaging social and push alert suggestions
Utilizes analytics to track trends in daily decision‑making
Copy‑edits digital stories from other team members
Seeks out original news stories ahead of the competition
Communicates effectively with digital teams across the company to incorporate content at a station level
Attends and contributes to editorial meetings
Qualifications/Requirements
A background in journalism and communications with strong writing skills preferred
A solid understanding of social media and analytics
Having strong news judgement
Knowledge and use of effective SEO practices
2 years of newsroom and digital content producing experience preferred
