Role Description We are seeking a scientifically trained professional excited to transition from the bench into a client-facing commercial role. As a Scientific Account Manager, you will work at the intersection of structural biology and business — helping pharma and biotech partners advance protein structure determination using our Single Particle Analysis cryo-EM and protein production services.
This role is ideal for a recent PhD graduate or postdoctoral researcher who enjoys explaining complex science, collaborating across teams, and thinking strategically about how research translates into therapeutic impact.
You will serve as the primary liaison between clients and our internal scientific teams — managing accounts, translating client requirements into actionable plans, creating project proposals, and identifying opportunities to optimize workflows and client satisfaction.
You will receive hands‑on mentorship and training in business development, account management, and commercial strategy — while leveraging the scientific expertise you've already built.
This is a 6‑month contract position based in Woburn, MA, with strong potential to transition to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Qualifications
Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in structural biology, biochemistry, or a related field preferred
Strong understanding of cryo-EM, structural biology, or protein production processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex science to diverse audiences
Experience or strong interest in project management, client relationships, or account management
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
