Real Estate Tax Lease Analyst

Job Summary The Real Estate Tax Lease Analyst (Remote) is responsible for the day-to-day operations associated with collecting, interpreting, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of real estate property taxes and exemptions. This includes adding data related to taxes and owned buildings in the Apex property and lease management system, providing accurate and timely information for the payment of tax and lease obligations, collecting tax and lease payments, and generating property and lease operational reports.

Responsibilities

Manage documentation needed to file for real estate tax exemption status for 501(c)(3) organizations.

Maintain various Real Estate Services Guidelines and Processes.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, establishing networks, benchmarking best practices, and participating in professional societies.

Prepare and assist with the analysis of property financial statements, rent rolls, operating expenses, annual reconciliations, and property taxes.

Coordinate meetings and provide administrative support for the Leaders of National Real Estate Services, including assisting in preparation of PowerPoint presentations, Zoom, telephone support, and submission of Lease Services Requests to Legal.

Maintain and update the CommonSpirit Health Owned Property and Lease Management Database invoices and submit for payment, tracking payments against POs.

Ensure tax exemptions are filed on time and tax payments are made before deadlines.

Partner with appropriate parties to support tax appeals.

Create and maintain a best‑practice manual for real estate property tax exemption filings.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.

Strong organizational and attention‑to‑detail skills.

3+ years of experience in Corporate/Commercial Real Estate Services.

Understanding of key process issues and drive process improvements.

2+ years of experience with property tax exemption filings.

Working knowledge of real estate terms and processes.

Good problem‑solving skills; able to conduct comparative analysis of multiple solutions.

Ability to multi‑task and work in a team environment.

Experience in Database Management.

Preferred

Working knowledge of current property tax exemption filing processes in various counties/states.

Experience with real estate software.

Vendor Coordination (PPN).

Working knowledge of Google Workspace applications.

Pay Range $36.00 - $44.00 per hour
