Finance & Membership Success Marketing Manager Intern
The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles (SACC-LA) is looking for a self‑motivated Marketing Manager Intern to focus on finance and membership success during a six‑month internship starting in July 2026. SACC-LA is the #1 network in Los Angeles, known as “The Entertainment Capital of the World”. Our mission is to create an effective network that enables innovative and creative exchange and enhances business opportunities between Swedish and American companies and individual talents in the Los Angeles area.
Responsibilities
Accounting and Treasury: Handle accounting (using QuickBooks) of SACC‑LA, including events, membership dues, sponsor dues, etc.; maintain records in English following the U.S. accounting system.
Financial Duties: Invoice membership dues, follow up on late payments, manage bank accounts, debit cards, checkbooks, and perform administrative duties. Collaborate with the event coordinator to create event budgets and ensure profitability.
Reporting: Collaborate with the CFO to ensure a long‑term financial strategy for SACC‑LA. Prepare reports of current balances and other financial information for board meetings.
Membership Maintenance and Recruitment: Keep close relationships with existing members and continuously expand the network by recruiting new members. Keep the membership database updated and manage the CRM system.
Sponsorship: Build and maintain long‑term sponsorship relationships with potential sponsors, negotiate deals, and monitor execution.
Newsletter: Write short articles for SACC‑LA’s weekly newsletter, focusing on highlighting members, and proof‑read articles with the team.
Events: Support the team in creating and carrying out events with SACC‑LA members, partners, and sponsors.
Benefits This six‑month internship does not provide monetary compensation, as SACC‑USA is a non‑profit organization. As an intern abroad, you may apply for scholarships or student aid from CSN depending on your university program. SACC‑USA will assist with the visa application process. To be eligible for a J‑1 visa, you must be a Swedish citizen. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain real‑world experience, develop business‑related skills, and build a professional international network.
