Tolan is built by an experienced team with a lot of history together. We previously founded Even, acquired for $300m in 2022. Our investors include the designers and founders behind products like Instagram, Retro, Behance, Vimeo and Notion.
We love to work hard, with a high degree of autonomy and ownership. We work together in-person in downtown SF.
The role We’re looking for a product designer to join our creative team to help shape the future of Tolan. You’ll work in a small team to design, build and ship features that push boundaries of our relationship with embodied AI. You’ll bring knowledge and creativity to everything you touch, from foundational product decisions to tiny moments of visual delight. In this role, you will set a high design bar, make decisive product and design decisions and ship new interfaces at the frontier of AI.
You might be a fit if you:
Have 5+ years of experience owning design projects end-to-end with little oversight
Have worked on consumer facing products and taken them from concept to production, learned from real users and iterated quickly
Thrive in highly autonomous and collaborative environments
Care as much about solving product problems as you do about visuals
Know when to follow patterns and when to break them to make something entirely new
